How to make money as a creator

Subscriptions are only the start. The creators who earn well use several ways to earn at once and pay attention to what their fans respond to. Here is each one, and how it works on MyRoomz.

Price your subscription with intent

Your monthly price sits on your profile, from A$4.99. A lower price brings more people in and makes every post you sell on its own more valuable. A higher price suits a smaller, closer audience. You can add free trials, a discounted first month and bundles of three, six or twelve months.

Use free followers as your shop window

Followers are free. Post some things for followers, and they see your subscriber posts as locked cards. Every free post is an advert for the paid ones.

Sell single posts and paid messages

Put a price on a post or on a message with media in it. You can give a free teaser photo or the first seconds of a video, schedule the price to drop over time, and show the length of a video before anyone pays. Custom work a fan asks for is agreed in chat and sent as a paid message.

Go live

Live streams can be for subscribers, free for everyone or ticketed from A$1 to A$500, with tips in the chat. Audio only lives work too.

Auctions, calls, gifts and goals

  • Auction a post to the highest bidder, or auction a physical item.
  • Sell private video or voice calls to your subscribers for a set fee.
  • Let fans buy you gifts or chip in to a goal.

Keep conversations going

Indie, the MyRoomz AI chat assistant, can keep your fan conversations going in your voice when you are busy, and can send photos and videos you have approved. You decide how she sounds and how hard she sells, and you can switch her off for anyone.

Read your numbers, then keep more of them

MyStatz breaks your income down by every stream, so you can see what is working. And the fee matters: at a flat 10% you keep 90% of everything you earn.

No platform can promise an income. What you earn depends on your content, your audience and the time you put in.
