Chargebacks & Tax Policy
Effective as of: 1 January 2026This policy outlines how chargebacks, promotional pricing, and GST apply to Users and Creators on MyRoomz Pty Ltd.
Words used as defined terms in this Agreement but not defined take their meaning from the Terms of Use.
If a User initiates a chargeback or disputes a transaction with their bank or credit card provider, MyRoomz Pty Ltd reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate the User’s account while the dispute is under review.
Where MyRoomz receives a chargeback, card dispute, refund request or reversal in relation to a Fan Payment, MyRoomz may:
(a) immediately deduct the disputed amount, together with any processor or scheme fees, from the relevant Creator’s pending or future payouts;
(b) place a hold on the Creator’s wallet balance; and/or
(c) require the Creator to provide evidence of fulfilment (for example, screenshots of messages, delivery logs or streaming logs).
If the chargeback is upheld:
The disputed amount will be deducted from the relevant Creator’s earnings.
The Creator will be notified with details of the deduction.
The User’s access to the platform may be permanently restricted.

Fraudulent use of the chargeback process may result in permanent account termination and potential legal action. Misleading or bad-faith disputes may also lead to a platform-wide ban.
MyRoomz may set off any amount owed to it (including chargebacks, payment-processor fees, tax gross-ups, penalties or refunds paid to Fans) against any amount payable by MyRoomz to the Creator, whether or not the amounts arise from the same transaction.
Creators may offer Fans a variety of promotions on their subscriptions:
Free Trial Subscriptions
Creators may offer a 100% discount for the first billing cycle.
Fans must manually subscribe; the subscription will not auto-renew unless the Fan opts in.
Discounted First-Month Offers
Creators may offer a reduced rate for the first month as part of a promotion.
After the trial or discount ends, the subscription will automatically renew at the regular rate.
Minimum promotional pricing is AUD $3.00.
Personalised Subscription Discounts
Creators can offer individual Fans a 5% to 40% discount for a period of 1–12 months.
These discounts apply on future billing cycles only.
All promotions must be transparent and clearly disclosed to Fans. Misleading or manipulative pricing practices are not permitted.
MyRoomz Pty Ltd is registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Australia. GST applies to digital content and services as per the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (Cth).
GST for Fans
A 10% GST is applied to eligible payments made by Australian Fans.
This GST amount is shown as a separate line item on all receipts.
There are no additional fees beyond the stated tax.
GST for Creators
In general terms, Creators who earn AUD $75,000 gross income or more per year (from any income source) must:
Register for GST with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Include GST in their earnings from Australian Fans.
Report and remit GST through their Business Activity Statements (BAS).
Recipient Created Tax Invoices (RCTIs)
Where agreed, MyRoomz Pty Ltd may issue Recipient Created Tax Invoices (RCTIs) on behalf of GST-registered Creators.
Creators must notify us if:
Their GST registration status changes.
They are no longer eligible to receive RCTIs.
RCTIs are issued in accordance with ATO guidelines and must be acknowledged in writing.
Note: MyRoomz Pty Ltd operates as a digital content platform and marketplace under Australian GST rules. This may affect how GST applies across transactions.
Creators are solely responsible for managing and reporting their personal income tax obligations, including:
Paying their own tax and Lodging their own tax returns
Declaring all income earned through the platform
Registering for and reporting GST (if applicable)
MyRoomz does not withhold income tax or issue PAYG summaries. We recommend that all Creators seek advice from a registered tax agent or visit ato.gov.au for detailed guidance.
Creators are solely responsible for the accuracy of their tax and GST declarations made to MyRoomz. MyRoomz may disclose Creator earnings information to the Australian Taxation Office or other competent authority where legally required.
All payments are processed through third-party payment gateways (e.g., Bankful).
MyRoomz is not responsible for processing delays, failed payments, or fees applied by third-party processors.
Unless otherwise stated, all payments are in Australian Dollars (AUD). Exchange rates may be applied by the payment provider for non-AUD cardholders.
Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which outlines the steps for Users to request a refund before lodging a chargeback.

MyRoomz may, at its sole discretion, issue refunds based on factors such as fraudulent transactions, billing errors, or unauthorised account access.
This policy is designed exclusively for operations within Australia. As MyRoomz Pty Ltd does not currently operate internationally, tax references such as VAT, sales tax, or international age verification laws have been intentionally excluded.
