How do auction posts work?

Auction posts let a creator put exclusive content up for bidding. The highest bid when the countdown ends wins exclusive PPV access โ€” only the winner unlocks the post.

  1. **Creating an auction (creators)**
  2. In the post composer, tap **Pay-per-view** then choose the **Auction** sub-mode.
  3. Set a **starting bid** (default A$1) and a **duration** (default 3 hours; up to 7 days).
  4. Tap Share โ€” the auction goes live immediately.
  1. **Placing a bid (subscribers)**
  2. Open an auction post. You'll see the current bid, time remaining, and a **Place bid** button.
  3. Enter at least the minimum next bid (auto-calculated as current bid + max(A$1, 5%)).
  4. Tap **Bid**. The amount is **held in your wallet** (moved from balance to pending). It's released back instantly if you're outbid.
  5. If you win, the held amount is charged for real and you get exclusive access to the content.

**Anti-sniping**
If a bid lands in the **last 60 seconds**, the auction extends by another 60 seconds. Stops last-millisecond grabs. The auction can keep extending until 60s pass with no new bids.

**At the end**
- **Winner** gets exclusive unlock + ๐Ÿ† badge on the post.

- **Losers** see the post locked with a "Won by @user for A$X" badge โ€” funds were never charged (they were released as you got outbid).

- **No bids** โ€” the post stays free public text and anyone can read the caption.

**Fees**
Same as regular PPV โ€” the creator receives 90%, the platform takes 10%.

**Notifications**
You'll get an in-app notification when: you're outbid, you win, your auction sells, or your auction ends with no bids.
