How does age verification work?

Every MyRoomz account holder must be 18 or older. We run a **liveness selfie check** via Didit — no ID document required, just your camera.

2. After signup and email verification, you'll be redirected to the age check.
3. Grant camera access. A short instructional animation runs.
4. Follow the prompts (turn your head, blink, look up). The check runs in about 60 seconds.
5. Didit analyses the liveness + estimated age. If you're comfortably 18+, you're approved on the spot.

**If you're flagged**
A human review follows. It can take a few hours. If Didit can't confidently tell you're 18+, we'll ask for a government ID document as a fallback — this routes through our Veriff ID flow.
